I am bad at posting on here.

So the past few weeks have been all about jobs. I hope that this means I am one step closer to becoming employed again. I had a couple of interviews a week and a half ago. Then just yesterday I get phone calls from the recruiting agency that I am hooked up with telling me that they found a potential job for me in Vancouver for a private attorney.  I really hope that this particular job comes to fruition. It's what I've been waiting for. Please pray that God's will will be done.

Letter to Birth Mother

From the tv show "Smash," this was the letter that the adopted mother (played by Debra Messing) wrote to the birth mother in Asia:

To The Birth Mother of My Daughter:

Our lives are so far distant from each other it’s as if neither of us exists. I will never know you. Even though you will give birth to her, my daughter may never know you as well. But I want you to know I will guard her like a lion. I will raise her with love. I will protect her from the wounds of loneliness. She will be a child of two lands and she will wear that knowledge with pride. And at night we will call to you on the wind and perhaps you will hear us and know she is safe.

Welcome to 2012.

The last day of December marked the last day of my job that I've had for 3 years. It was an unfortunate circumstance that I had no control over. I was bumped from my position by someone who had more seniority over me because her job was being effected. It is what it is and it sucks but I have to deal with it. Currently, I am looking for a job.  I know it is all about timing, so I will do what I can and hope that God will take care of the rest.

This is going to be a year of transition for me. I am hoping the job thing will actually be an opportunity for me to grow professionally, a chance to step outside of my box and do something new, exciting and challenging.

God's beauty in nature

Sunrise. Although this looks like a sunset, the original picture was quite different before I enhanced the color. I love seeing the sunrise in the early mornings on my way to work as I am riding the bus. This was taken yesterday.
