Catching Up

I haven't posted in a while, mainly because I don't have anything exciting to post. But, I forgot that I have some pictures from my trip to California in May, pictures from a Seattle trip I took with friends in early June and some pictures from the rodeo today. I'll be doing these in sections. Here we go:

Car

I love my new car. Well, not new new, but new to me! It's a 2010 Kia Rondo. Even though it looks like a SUV, it's actually considered a station wagon. It's perfect for toting KD around, which is really the reason why I was looking for a certain kind of car. Dad worked his magic and negotiated to where it was doable! And then mom, dad, my father-in-law and myself drove to Puyallup to pick it up. It was definitely a family affair.

Tulips

My tulips have bloomed!

I got this lovely bouquet a couple of weeks ago and took some pictures. I love the apple green color of the mums.

new prints

I bought some prints from the Emily Jones blog and already have them in frames. I just love her blog! I also bought her valentine cards.

baking

I did some baking today with a friend of mine. We did cream cheese cupcakes.  They have a graham cracker crust on the bottom and you put a sliced strawberry on the top just before eating.

This was my attempt at making chocolate covered strawberries.  Not as easy as it looks.
